March 20, 2010
Hello 99ers!
I remember three months back when I first introduced to you our website. The feedbacks we received from all of you after the soft launching inspires us to work double harder so we could come up with more brilliant ideas to make this website more interesting and exciting. Back then we were just piggybacking from someone’s domain. Thus, we cannot really customize the lay-out of our website. It was your overwhelming response which prompted us to really have our own and make things truly ours.
It was last December 31, 2009 when we decided to have our official physical launching of the website this month. The first few months of 2010 turned out to be a busy one for all of us. Thankfully, some of our fellow batch mates agreed to help us out. Thus, a new committee was established – the Website Launching Committee, spearheaded by our batch governor Mrs. Celeste Buenaviaje-Shockey. This group is the one who painstakingly went through all the trouble in planning and organizing all the details needed for the physical launching.
Our main struggle, if I may be so bold to say, is to convince our fellow 99ers to share their stories, talents and even a few moments of their time with the rest of us. It is a bit frustrating to find out that not everyone is proactive in making this project a success. I can’t blame them though. They have their own reasons and I respect them wholeheartedly. Nevertheless, our constant nagging and begging finally paid off. Now, in behalf of everyone involved, we are happy to showcase the fruits of our labor. So, please stay tuned for the physical launching.
On another note, I would like to use this time to express my deepest gratitude to all those who unselfishly shared their talents, expertise, skills and a slice of their life to the rest of the 99ers and to the world. As the editor in chief, I would like to say my thanks to all the people behind this undertaking – the Website Committee and the Website Launching Committee. You know who you are guys. From the bottom of my heart I sincerely thank you. I know I have a lot of shortcomings as the editor in chief. Heck, until now I’m not even sure what being an editor in chief is really all about. Your understanding, patience and guidance are greatly appreciated. Again, THANK YOU! I also would like to extend my appreciation to all those people who, even if they can’t grace us with their presence during the physical launching, showed their support by financially helping us out with this endeavor. THANKS A LOT, GUYS! To Rayman Abiva, the man who started all this trouble and brought us along with him, good job dude! Although, next time, please come up with an easier and less taxing project. Okay?
It’s finally here! KUDOS to everyone! To all Sacs99ers, this is just the beginning of a wonderful journey together. Welcome to sacs99ers.com – our very own SACS batch 99 website. I hope you will enjoy reading the articles as much as you enjoyed the first edition. As always, I would like to encourage everyone to leave us a note at the comment box.
Again, welcome to OUR website. Welcome to sacs99ers.com!
See you guys at Yo.U on the 20th of March for the grand physical launching!
